Project Committee members Dan Patching and Ian Bourhill introduced our club's latest undertaking; a unique water fountain slated for Fred Gingell Park. With the assistance of the artist sketch we were presented with some of the design details of the project.

  • Four outlets on three levels accommodate adults, children, dogs and water bottle filling

  • Dimensions are  80" high  50" wide  8" deep

  • Cost of $47,000 will be shared 50-50 with the municipality

  • Work in kind donations also play a part ie plumbing

  • High quality chlorinated and sediment free municipal water supply

  • Push button control keeps hands away from water flow

  • Run off water flows to drained basins

  • Park water fountain use grows as plastic bottle use declines

  • Beach stair climbers will appreciate the water station

  • Stair climbing exercisers will also have a counter station

  • Granite construction expected to minimize graffiti

  • Completion planned for April
